The AAJC New Orleans All-Star Youth Jazz Orchestra & Outreach Program, co-presented by the African American Jazz Caucus and the Jazz Education Network, features high school jazz ensemble members from the greater New Orleans area performing compositions from the Duke Ellington Library and other Big Band repertoire under the mentorship of AAJC/JEN members who are in the field of music education.”
About the AAJC
Student musicians from the Greater New Orleans area are invited to experience a day of learning and perform with nationally known jazz educators and artists who are members of the AAJC and JEN. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend informative sessions and performances throughout the four-day conference.
