AAJC Mentor Meetup Initiative

The African American Jazz Caucus aims to connect developing music professionals and students with established working professionals who specialize in the areas of performance, composition, scholarship/publication, education, music business, and arts administration. 

Established in 2016 initially as the AAJC/JEN One-to-One Outreach program, the AAJC/JEN Outreach program has developed into an annual networking session held each year at the Annual JEN conference in January. During the JEN conference, AAJC members personally invite students of African descent and students that attend a Historically Black College and University or Predominately Black Institution to join the meetup session.
